Rooted in six guiding pillars — See Her, Hear Her, Acknowledge Her, Learn Her Story, Own Your Bias, and Never Forget Your Oath — the Blueprint turns equity into daily practice across clinical, community, and administrative settings.

Virtual Format (90 Minutes)

A concise, skills-based online workshop ideal for teams beginning their journey toward bias recognition and trust-centered care.

Learning Goals

  • Identify trust breakers and replace them with concrete trust builders.

  • Apply the SHALON Listening Loop™ and teach-back techniques in real-world encounters.

  • Use shared-decision prompts and documentation that reflects patient voice.

  • Commit to one personal and one system-level action step to track within 30 days.

Audience
Nurses, midwives, physicians, doulas, lactation consultants, social workers, care navigators, schedulers, and quality leaders.

In-Person Format (4 Hours)

A deeper, experiential version designed for hospitals, clinics, and training institutions seeking to integrate the SHALON Blueprint™ principles into policies and care protocols.

This session blends small-group discussion, simulation, reflection, and action planning.
