Participants connect virtually with others who’ve experienced similar losses, attend workshops led by culturally responsive experts, and learn how to transform their stories into tools for impact.
GRAMMS is not just a support group but a movement rooted in love, resilience, and truth.
Every GRAMMS member becomes a guardian of legacy. Together, we honor the women we've lost by protecting the lives yet to come.
Grandmothers Rallying Against Maternal Mortality & Morbidity Sisterhood! (GRAMMS)
When a Black woman dies from preventable maternal complications, the trauma doesn't end with her passing. It ripples through generations. Often, it’s her mother who is left to pick up the pieces—raising the surviving child, navigating legal complexities, and carrying unimaginable grief.
GRAMMS (Grandmothers Rallying Against Maternal Mortality Sisterhood) is a sanctuary and an engine for action. This six-month program offers a blend of emotional healing, legal guidance, financial education, and advocacy training. It’s where women come together to process loss, build sisterhood, and use their voices to create change.
Have you experienced the loss of a loved one during childbirth?
We understand that profound grief and heartache accompany the loss of a loved one, especially during what should be a joyous time.
