Raegan McDonald-Mosley, MD, MPH, FACOG
Is currently the chief medical officer of Planned Parenthood of Maryland. In this role, she supports and promotes quality sexual and reproductive health services. Prior to her current role, Dr. Raegan served as the chief medical officer for the national organization, Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Dr. Raegan has participated in several international public health projects in Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa. She is a graduated fellow of the Physicians for Reproductive Health Leadership and Training Academy. She served on the board of directors for HealthCare Access Maryland and is an active member of her community. Raegan earned her bachelor’s degree in African Studies and Chemistry, graduating with the highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and completed her postdoctoral training in obstetrics and gynecology at the New York University Medical Center. She also completed a specialized fellowship in family planning at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine during which she obtained her Master’s in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where she had the opportunity to meet Shalon. Raegan and Shalon met during orientation and became fast friends. Dr. Raegan's professional and personal passions collided with Shalon's untimely and preventable death. Since this tragedy, Dr. Raegan has used her voice and platform to bring attention to the crisis of maternal mortality and the impact of racism on health outcomes. Dr. Raegan was a 2014 recipient of the Daily Record’s Leading Women Award as well as a 2016 recipient of Ebony Magazine’s Power 100 award. She is also a Fellow of the third class of the Health Innovators Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Dr. Raegan is a passionate advocate for reproductive health and justice.
