Bianca Pryor, MS
Bianca’s passion for fighting for equity and inclusion has long been burning. In 2017, her passion turned to purpose when she lost her best friend, Shalon Irving, after she gave birth to her daughter, Soleil.
As Co-Founder, along with Wanda, for Dr. Shalon’s Maternal Action Project (DSMAP) and the visionary for the Believe Her app, Bianca leads with this fire.
She has helped take a big idea into a 501(c)(3) reality. In Year 1, she developed a startup strategy to create awareness, launched DSMAP’s website presence, helped secure seed funding from donors, developed and deepened key constituent relationships, facilitated DSMAP to become an official endorser of the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act H.R. 6142, operationalized systems, developed best practices, engaged the board, led inaugural research projects, planned events, and spoke at events.
Bianca is originally from Richmond, VA. She graduated from Virginia Union University in Marketing and Spanish, then Purdue for her Master of Science in Consumer Behavior, where she met Shalon. She is currently the Vice President of Consumer Insights, Content Optimization & Marketing Strategy at BET Networks, a ViacomCBS company. She is the proud mother to her four-year old, Everton, who remains close with Soleil.
