Overview: Dr. Shalon\\\'s Maternal Action Project (DSMAP) is seeking a visionary and dynamic Programs Director to join our Board of Directors. As a leader in addressing racial disparities in maternal healthcare, DSMAP champions education, empowerment, community-building, and storytelling to ensure equitable care for women of color. The Programs Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of our diverse initiatives, helping to expand our impact and reach within the community.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in program management or directorial roles within non-profit, healthcare, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and leading programs aimed at addressing health disparities or advocating for marginalized communities.
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic program goals in alignment with DSMAP’s mission and vision.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and scaling of program initiatives to ensure they meet organizational objectives and community needs.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and impact through comprehensive evaluation methods, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other board members and DSMAP leadership to secure funding, manage budgets, and ensure resource allocation aligns with program priorities.
  • Engage and foster strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and community leaders to enhance program visibility and impact.
  • Advocate for DSMAP’s mission in public forums, including conferences, workshops, and media appearances.
